China Export-Import Bank may finance electric train project in Egypt

The Export-Import Bank of China (Chexim) is offering to finance a project to build an electric train linking between Egypt’s new administrative capital city with 10th of Ramadan City.

A Chexim delegation made these remarks during a meeting with Egyptian Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr in Cairo on Thursday, in the presence of Chinese Minister Counsellor Han Bing.

The delegation further expressed the bank’s interest in financing other projects in Egypt including a multipurpose plant in Alexandria.
