China’s import volumes for diesel up

China’s import volumes for diesel/gasoil and jet fuel/kerosene stay prominent, while Singapore’s middle distillates stockpiles decreased by 2 per cent, Reuters reported on Thursday.

Singapore’s decline is for the second consecutive week, with gasoil/diesel and jet fuel/kerosene inventories at 10.134 million barrels, from 10.349 million barrels.

Jet fuel/kerosene net exports increased by nearly 10 per cent, driven by a 43 per cent rise in total exports, figures from Enterprise Singapore showed.

Australia and Vietnam were key contributors, with Vietnam increasing regional cargoes due to refinery maintenance.

Diesel/gasoil net exports dropped by almost 40 per cent, while total imports rose by 30 per cent. Imports from China, South Korea, Taiwan, and India were significant.

China-origin imports are expected to slow in April, with estimated loadings 20 per cent lower than March.

Brunei imports resurfaced after more than five months, contributing to total imports.
