Delegation of Russian firms to visit Egypt mid-January

A number of Russian firms is set to visit Egypt at the middle of January 2016 to discuss available investment opportunities in power, agriculture, tourism, and automotive fields.

The chairman of trade ministry’s Commercial Service Ali El-Leithy told Amwal Al Ghad Sunday that it is set to hold an expanded meeting during the visit.

The meeting is set to encompass a number of Egyptian firms and to be organised in cooperation with the  Egyptian side at the Egyptian-Russian Business Council.

After the visit, the Egyptian-Russian joint committee will be held in Sharm El Sheikh at the end of January in the attendance of Egyptian trade minister Tarek Qabil and his Russian counterpart Denis Manturov, the official added.

During the meeting, the joint committee will determine the capital of the Russian-Gulf investment fund to start executing a number of new Russian projects in Egypt within the upcoming period, El-Leithy said.

The fund is set to provide the necessary finances for a number of projects notably developing Suez Canal region projects as well as touristic projects.
