The US dollar was largely unchanged against the Egyptian pound in midday trading on Sunday, reflecting continued stability in Egypt’s foreign-exchange market, according to data from five major banks.
As of 12:10 local time (09:10 GMT), the dollar averaged 51.80 pounds for buying and 51.89 pounds for selling across the surveyed lenders.
| Bank | Buy (EGP/USD) | Sell (EGP/USD) |
| National Bank of Egypt (NBE) | 51.79 | 51.89 |
| Banque Misr | 51.78 | 51.88 |
| Commercial International Bank (CIB) | 51.77 | 51.87 |
| QNB Alahli | 51.7800 | 51.8800 |
| Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) | 51.8500 | 51.9500 |
The greenback has traded within a narrow range in recent weeks, supported by improved foreign-currency liquidity and easing pressure on Egypt’s exchange market.
