Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green area on Thursday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went up by 0.70 per cent to 52,928.06 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, rose by 0.54 per cent to 5,950.19 points.
- The index EGX35-LV climbed by 0.53 per cent to 6,226.11 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70, advanced by 1.54 per cent, to 17,049.97 points.
- The EGX100 index jumped by 1.24 per cent, to 22,887.36 points.
The total market cap reached 3,887,030,721,732 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with 2,499,053,374 Egyptian pounds and 21,405,706,658 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, Egyptians were net sellers with 23,904,760,032 pounds.
Top gainers
- The shares of Delta For Printing & Packaging went up by 20.00 per cent to 242.400 pounds a share.
- The shares of Glaxo Smith Kline rose by 19.99 per cent to close at 105.700 pounds a share.
- The shares of Nozha International Hospital jumped by 13.00 per cent, closing at 21.560 pounds.
Top losers
- The shares of Alexandria New Medical Center dropped by 16.20 per cent to 118.500 pounds at closing.
- The shares of Egyptian Real Estate Group fell by 4.88 per cent to close at 1.560 pounds a share.
- The shares of Catalyst Partners Middle East –CPME sank by 4.28 per cent, closing at 17.430 pounds a share.
