Egypt offers 2,300 jobs at El Dabaa nuclear plant

Egypt’s Labour Ministry said on Monday it was offering 2,300 jobs at the El Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant project in cooperation with Russian contractor TREST ROSSEM, part of Russia’s state nuclear corporation Rosatom.

The vacancies include 500 metal structure installers, 500 assistants, 500 steel fixers, 500 concrete workers, and 300 welders specialising in electric, argon, and CO₂ welding, Labour Minister Hassan Raddad said in a statement.

Monthly salaries of up to EGP 40,000 (around $788) will be offered depending on applicants’ experience and performance in recruitment tests, the ministry said. The package also includes accommodation, three meals a day, health and social insurance, and transportation to and from the project site.

Recruitment tests will be held Sunday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the company’s office in El Dabaa in Matrouh governorate.

Applicants can register through the ministry’s online employment portal and will be required to submit documents including proof of military service, a criminal record certificate and skills certification, the ministry said.

The El Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant is being built on Egypt’s Mediterranean coast in partnership with Russia’s state nuclear corporation Rosatom and is expected to comprise four reactors with a combined generating capacity of 4.8 gigawatts.
