Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green area on Sunday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went up by 0.82 per cent, to 55,125.43 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, jumped by 1.49 per cent to 6,426.09 points.
- The index EGX35-LV soared by 1.37 per cent to 6,770.1 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70, climbed by 4.04 per cent to 20,798.21 points.
- The EGX100 index rose by 3.36 per cent to 26,983.04 points.
The total market cap reached 4,158,847,866,540 Egyptian pounds.
Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers with a total of 35,407,323 Egyptian pounds and 34,262,425 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with 69,669,748 pounds.
Top gainers
- The shares of Glaxo Smith Kline surged by 20.00 per cent, closing at 477.260 Egyptian pounds per share.
- The shares of Ismailia National Food Industries rose by 19.99 per cent, reaching 163.180 Egyptian pounds per share.
- The shares of Golden Textiles & Clothes Wool went up by 19.99 per cent to close at 119.670 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares of El Ahram Co. For Printing And Packing went down by 4.95 per cent to close at 13.240 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Nasr Company for Civil Works dropped by 4.70 per cent to close at 6.080 per cent a share.
- The shares of Egyptian Gulf Marseilia For Real Estate Investment by 3.73 per cent, to close at 8.510 Egyptian pounds a share.
