Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the red area on Sunday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went down by 1.39 per cent, to 53,031.69 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, dropped by 1.73 per cent to 6,398.13 points.
- The index EGX35-LV sank by 2.77 per cent to 6,406.15 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70, plunged by 3.87 per cent to 19,067.23 points.
- The EGX100 index fell by 3.49 per cent to 25,317.49 points.
The total market cap reached 4,142,872,629,212 Egyptian pounds.
Egyptians and Arabs were net sellers with a total of 49,861,068 Egyptian pounds and 124,176,443 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with 174,037,511 pounds.
Top gainers
- The shares of Sharm Dreams Co. for Tourism Investment surged by 7.58 per cent, closing at 86.050 Egyptian pounds per share.
- The shares of Egyptian Gulf Marseilia For Real Estate Investment rose by 5.79 per cent, reaching 11.320 Egyptian pounds per share.
- The shares of Marsa Marsa Alam For Tourism Development went up by 4.91 per cent to close at 4.700 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares of O B Financial Holding went down by 10.78 per cent to close at 0.910 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of KORRA dropped by 10.45 per cent to close at 6.000 per cent a share.
- The shares of Lotus For Agricultural Investments And Development dropped by 10.29 per cent, to close at 0.767 Egyptian pounds a share.
