Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the red area on Monday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went down by 1.06 per cent to 52,468.71 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, dropped by 1.66 per cent to 6,291.75 points.
- The index EGX35-LV plunged by 1.97 per cent to 6,279.82 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70, fell by 2.89 per cent to 18,516.8 points.
- The EGX100 index sank by 2.43 per cent, to 24,702.56 points.
The total market cap reached 4,091,638,667,983 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with 378,011,795 Egyptian pounds and 4,798,561,175 pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, Egyptians were net sellers with 5,176,572,970 pounds.
Top gainers
- The shares of Tycoon Holding Company For Financial Investments rose by 17.24 per cent, to close at the price of 13.870 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Nasr Company for Civil Works climbed by 7.07 per cent, closing at the price of 7.120 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Lotus For Agricultural Investments And Development jumped by 6.78 per cent, to the purchasing price of 0.819 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares of Creast Mark For Contracting And Real Estate Development fell by 11.43 per cent, to close at 3.100 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Orascom Investment Holding declined by 11.43 per cent, to close at 1.860 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Arabian Metal Industries And Industrial Investments dropped by 10.70 per cent, to close at the price of 12.180 Egyptian pounds a share.
