Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mixed on Sunday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went down by 0.70 per cent, to 52,560.1 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, dropped by 0.66 per cent to 5,910.65 points.
- The index EGX35-LV climbed by 0.15 per cent to 6,268.34 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70, advanced by 1.25 per cent to 17,263.26 points.
- The EGX100 index rose by 0.85 per cent to 23,081.76 points.
The total market cap reached 3,886,049,909,251 Egyptian pounds.
Egypt and Arabs were net sellers with a total of 196,215,925 Egyptian pounds and 573,845,891 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with 770,061,817 pounds.
Top gainers
- The shares of Glaxo Smith Kline surged by 20.00 per cent, closing at 126.840 Egyptian pounds per share.
- The shares of Middle Egypt Flour Mills rose by 20.00 per cent, reaching 129.250 Egyptian pounds per share.
- The shares of North Cairo Mills went up by 20.00 per cent to close at 165.660 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares of Golden Textiles & Clothes Wool went down by 5.98 per cent to close at 95.020 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Egyptian for Tourism Resorts dropped by 4.67 per cent to close at 17.970 per cent a share.
- The shares of Egyptian Real Estate Group by 3.85 per cent, to close at 1.500 Egyptian pounds a share.
