The Egyptian pound was little changed against the US dollar in late trading on Sunday, extending a period of relative stability across major local banks amid continued improvement in foreign currency liquidity.

The US dollar traded at an average of EGP 50.95 for buying and EGP 51.05 for selling across five leading banks as of 16:05 local time (13:05 GMT), according to data compiled by Amwal Al Ghad English.

 Bank Buy (EGP/USD) Sell (EGP/USD)
National Bank of Egypt (NBE) 51.07 51.17
Banque Misr 51.07 51.17

The trend has helped keep exchange-rate movements broadly stable despite volatility in global currency markets.
