Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mostly green on Thursday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30 went up 0.30 per cent to 52,090.96 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33 surged 1.01 per cent to 5,800.79 points.
- The index EGX35-LV rose by 0.27 per cent to 5,800.02 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70 lost 0.15 per cent, to 14,399.25 points.
- The EGX100 index added 0.16 per cent, to 20,135.77 points.
The total market cap reached 3,719,270,566,047 Egyptian pounds.
Non-Arab foreigners were net buyers, with a total of 49,031,754,499 pounds. On the other hand, Egyptians and Arabs were net sellers with 47,376,805,733 pounds and 1,654,948,766 pounds, respectively.
Top gainers
- The shares of Gogreen for Agricultural Investment went up by 13.01 per cent to 1.650 pounds a share.
- The shares of Orascom Development Egypt rose by 8.27 per cent to close at 36.510 pounds a share.
- The shares of Egyptian Satellites (NileSat) jumped by 4.37 per cent, closing at 9.070 pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares of Misr Hotels dropped by 5.96 per cent to 30.320 pounds a share.
- The shares of Egyptian for Tourism Resorts fell by 5.48 per cent to close at 18.620 pounds a share.
- The shares of National Printing sank by 4.87 per cent, closing at 24.630 pounds a share.
