Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) closed mostly in green on Tuesday, with main index, EGX30 solely falls, inching 0.29 per cent lower to 29,668.47 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33 rose by 0.05 per cent to 3,146.89 points.
The SMEs index, EGX70 added 1.05 per cent, to 8,534.14 points.
The index, EGX100 index gained 0.72 per cent, to 11,650.02 points.
The total market capitalisation reached 2,209,123,984,183 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs were net buyers with a total of 6,767,420,515 Egyptian pounds. Meanwhile, Egyptians and non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with 1,089,493,037 Egyptian pounds, and 5,677,927,478 Egyptian pounds, respectively.
Top gainers
- Shares of Cairo Oils & Soap (COSG.CA) climbed by 19.78 per cent, to close at 0.321 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Mena Touristic & Real Estate Investment (MENA.CA) jumped by 19.78 per cent, to close at 5.390 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Osool ESB Securities Brokerage (EBSC.CA) surged by 17.43 per cent, to close at the price of 1.078 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers
- Shares of GMC for Industrial Commercial and Financial Investments – (GMCI) plunged by 4.63 per cent, to close at the price of 1.030 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Golden Coast Company (GOCO.CA) dived by 4.55 per cent, to trade at the price of 1.050 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Egyptian Arabian Company Themar for Securities Brokerage (EASB.CA) sank by 3.90 per cent, to the purchasing price of 4.440 Egyptian pounds a share.
