EGX gains L.E 1.3 billion, Indexes turn Green: Midday Session

On Wednesday midday session, the EGX has managed to turn its morning losses into gains of L.E 1.3 billion as the capital market amounted to L.E 370.876 billion.

The main index, EGX 30 went up 0.40% to close at 5072 p. EGX20 raised 0.39% to close at 5911 p.

Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 increased 0.75% to close at 481p. Price index EGX100 hiked 0.37% to close at 820 p.

The total value traded recorded L.E 225.404 million; while the total volume traded reached 69.186 securities executed over 14.058 thousand transactions this week.

This was after trading in 152 listed securities; 42 down and 89 up while 21 keeping their previous levels.

Foreigners continued making up sales deals of L.E 21.765 million, excluding the purchases, seizing 20.57% of the total market.

In the meanwhile, Egyptians and Arabs made up purchase deals of L.E 9.631 million and L.E 12.133 million respectively- excluding the sales- after seizing 72.93% and 6.5% respectively.
