Egypt Hit By Second Quake In June

The National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG) announced that a 6-magnitude earthquake hit Egypt on Saturday.

According to NRIAG Chairman Hatem Ouda, the tremor’s epicenter was in the Mediterranean Sea, saying that “residents of the coast felt the tremor, especially in Alexandria and Saloum.”

No losses in lives or properties were resulted by the quake, which was registered at 18:10 CMT.

A 5.0-magnitude earthquake was felt in Egypt’s Cairo, Red Sea and South Sinai on 1 June.
