Egypt, Jordan sign 12 cooperation agreements

Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly and his counterpart Bisher Khasawneh signed 12 cooperation agreements to strength bilateral cooperation between the two countries, at the 31st session of the Joint Jordanian-Egyptian Higher Committee.

The agreements came to boost various fields include: economic and financial policy-making, environment, social affairs, media, culture, vocational training, manpower, social security, health, endowments and postal services.

The committee emphasised the importance of exchanging expertise in the field of green hydrogen and benefiting from Egypt’s experience in this field, as well as enhancing cooperation in the gas industry.

It is worth mentioning that the trade volume between Jordan and Egypt reached $1 billion last year, Jordan’s Minister of Labour Youssef Al Shamali. He added “we look forward to establishing comprehensive economic integration between our two countries.”
