Egypt Presidency To Launch National Reconciliation Initiative Shortly: Spokesman

Egypt’s interim presidency will soon call for a national reconciliation initiative to put an end to the ongoing conflict following former president Mohamed Morsi’s ouster, according to Ahmed El-Muslimani, media advisor to Interim President Adly Mansour.

In an interview on Al-Hayat TV, El-Muslimani revealed that Mansour has received many initiatives regarding national reconciliation from different parties and powers in Egypt.

“The presidency welcomes all sincere efforts in this regard,” he said.

Shortly after Morsi’s removal on 3 July, constitutional court head Adly Mansour was sworn in as interim president and a constitutional declaration containing a transitional ‘roadmap’ for early presidential elections was issued.
