Egypt received 2 million tourists in January-March 2021: minister

Egypt received 2 million tourists in the first five months of 2021, averaging 400,000 persons a month, its Tourism Minister Khaled Anani said on Thursday.

The North African country is targeting 8 million visitors and $8 billion in revenues by the end of the year as it hopes it could return to pre-COVID19 numbers as early as fall 2022.
