Egypt reinforces its green hydrogen sector – Madbouly

Egypt took important steps towards boosting its competitiveness in the green hydrogen sector, said the Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly on Wednesday.

Madbouly’s statements were made during the fourth edition of the round table meeting held on green hydrogen industry in Egypt.

He also highlighted that the country has completed the second update of the nationally determined contributions (NDCs), which aim to raise the contribution of renewable energy to 42 percent of power capacity by 2030 rather than 2035.

According to the Prime Minister, Egypt has promising potentials in the field of renewable energy production at competitive prices.

He also said that solar and wind energies are considered key components in the green hydrogen industry.

Madbouly also stressed on Egypt’s keenness to enhance investments in the green hydrogen field.
