Non-Arab Foreign Net Buyers Lift Egypt Shares Slightly Up at Midday

Egyptian stocks post slight gains during midday session of Tuesday backed by the non-Arab foreign net buyers. The benchmark rose above 6730 points on Tuesday noon.

The Benchmark EGX30 moved up by 0.13% to 6733.94 p; while EGX20 rose by 0.10% to 7816.86 p.

Additionally, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 increased by 0.13% to 532.4 p.  Price index EGX100 grew by 0.08% to 906.74 p.

The capital market has hit on Tuesday midday EGP 422.175 billion, according to data compiled by Amwal Al Ghad English at 12:49 p.m. Cairo time (10:49 GMT).

Trading Volumes & Values

The trading volume has recorded 69.116 million securities worth EGP 192.022 million, exchanged through 10.506  transactions during Tuesday midday.

Also during the midday session, 153 listed securities have been traded in; 84 fell, 44 advanced; while 25 keeping their previous levels.

Investors’ Activities

The non-Arab foreigners were net buyers acquiring 12.51% of the total market, with a net equity of EGP 25.780 million, excluding the deals.

On the contrary, Egyptians and Arabs were net sellers seizing 82.24% and 5.25% respectively of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 24.534 million and EGP 1.245 million respectively, excluding the deals.
