Egypt Stocks gain EGP3 billion on Monday amid Local buying

Egypt’s stock market shares edged higher on Monday with gains worth around 3 billion Egyptian pounds (US$393.2 million).

The market capitalization has closed at EGP 505.180 billion on Monday.

Indices:

The main stock index, EGX30 hiked by 0.62 percent to close at 9118.97 points. EGX20 inched up by 0.84 percent to 9766.64 points.

In addition, the mid- and small-cap index EGX70 climbed by 2.05 percent to 517.7 points. The price index, EGX100 also surged by 0.96 percent to 1044.44 points.

Turnovers below EGP1 billion
On Monday, the trading volume has reached 97.758 million securities, with turnovers closed at EGP 698.321 million, exchanged through 19.062 thousand transactions.

Also during the closing session, 178 listed securities have been traded in; 23 declined, 117 advanced; while 32 kept their previous levels.

Investors’ Activities

Local investors remained net buyers on Monday acquiring 86.48% of the total market, with a net equity of EGP 40.777 million, excluding the deals.

On the other hand, the non-Arab foreign investors and Arab investors were net sellers seizing 11.32% and 2.2% respectively of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 37.409 million and EGP 3.368 million, respectively, excluding the deals.
