Egypt to operate two new technology parks this October: official

New technological parks in Alexandria and South Cairo will start operation next October, announced Mohammed Abdul Wahab, Chairman of Maadi Technology Park.

The parks locate in Borg El-Arab and New Assiut cities.

Speaking on Saturday at the Techne Summit which takes place in Alexandria, Abdul Wahab asserted that the project aims at reducing internal migration as well as attracting more investments to country’s telecommunications sector.

The new technological parks will focus on outsourcing services and electronics manufacturing in which companies and training centres will be located.

The Egyptian Ministry of Communication is planning to start establishing the third technological park in 10th of Ramadan City by the end of 2016, he added.

The park in Borg El-Arab will be carried out on 30 feddans containing about 32 buildings and 70 percent of green areas.
