Egypt’s Ministry of Social Solidarity and Ministry Labour have signed a cooperation protocol with the Sonaa El-Kheir Foundation for Development to train one million citizens over three years.
The initiative aims to enhance vocational skills and economic empowerment, particularly in the villages targeted by Hayah Kareema (Decent Life) initiative.
The agreement includes the deployment of 10 mobile training units offering courses in handicrafts, tailoring, electrical work, plumbing, and digital skills. These units will be stationed across governorates to ensure accessibility to vocational training.
The protocol also facilitates the issuance of skill certification and craft licences to trainees, supporting their integration into the job market. Officials highlighted the programme’s role in promoting government services for workforce development and economic inclusion in underserved communities.
