Asian stocks were mixed on Wednesday, with Australian and Malaysian equities leading losses due to renewed uncertainty over US President Donald Trump’s trade policies.
South Korean shares rose, following a modest rebound in US tech giants. At 02:37 GMT, the Shanghai Composite in China decreased 0.2 per cent, and the Shanghai Shenzhen CSI 300 index fell by 0.3 per cent.
The Hang Seng index in Hong Kong remained relatively unchanged. The KLCI index in Malaysia saw a 1.5 per cent drop, and the PSEi Composite in the Philippines declined 1.2 per cent.
