Egypt’s banks, EGX to close 17 and 18 June for Eid Al-Fitr holiday
The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) said Sunday that banks and the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) will be closed next Sunday and Monday, 17 and 18 June, to mark Eid Al-Fitr holiday, which starts on Friday 15 June.
The country’s stock exchange will also close for those two days.
Financial institutions will resume work on Tuesday, 19 June.
Eid Al-Fitr marks the end of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.
