Egyptian confectionery maker El Rashidy El Mizan eyes 15% surge in exports this year

Egypt’s confectionery producer El Rashidi El Mizan targets increasing its exports by 15 percent to reach 100 million Egyptian pounds ($5.5 million) within 2017, an official in the company said Sunday.

Export Sales Executive Mohamed Magdy further told Amwal Al Ghad that his company had earlier achieved exports worth 90 million pounds in 2016.

“We export our products to more than 55 countries, notably the United States, Japan, Italy, and Russia,” Magdy noted.

The Egyptian official added that El Rashidi also plans to substantially expand its future businesses into the African markets in order to climb its export volume.

“We have launched three new products last January,” Magdy concluded.
