Egyptian Exchange Briefing 22/02/2023

The Egyptian Exchange witnessed a decline in its major indices on Wednesday. The main index EGX 30 dropped by – 1.54 percent to close at a value of 16777.2 (1,859 in USD terms). Today’s opening value at morning trade was 17039.45, the highest recorded value was 17102.87, and the lowest recorded value was 16674.32.

EGX 50 EWI as well witnessed a decline of -1.99 percent to 2847.88. The opening value this morning was 2905.76, recording a high value of 2914.92 and a low recorded value of 2844.18.

EGX 70 EWI is another index that witnessed a drop of – 1.49 percent. The opening value at morning trade was 2981.09, it went from a high value of 2999.30 and low value of 2934.72 to finally close at 2936.76.

EGX 100 EWI dropped by – 1.69 percent to 4387.47. The highest value recorded was 4482.25 and the closing value was 4381.96, the opening value was 4462.94.

The Market cap dropped by around 13 billion pounds today.
