Egypt’s central bank launches nationwide campaign to combat banking fraud

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has launched a nationwide awareness campaign with banks operating in the country to warn customers about fraud risks and protect their personal and banking information.

The campaign, launched on Thursday under the slogan “Together Against Fraud,” urges customers not to share personal or banking details with anyone and to remain alert to attempts to steal their information or money.

The CBE warned customers against responding to fraudulent phone calls seeking sensitive information and urged them not to click on suspicious links received through text messages, emails, or other communication channels.
