Egypt’s Finance Ministry launches bilingual website to boost transparency
Egypt’s Ministry of Finance launched on Thursday a new Arabic- and English-language website on a trial basis, aiming to improve access to financial information, expand digital services, and strengthen communication with citizens and investors.
Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk said the platform was part of an integrated programme to modernise the ministry’s media and digital communications, enhance transparency and simplify the delivery of online services.
The redesigned website offers a more interactive digital experience, with a modern layout aligned with the ministry’s visual identity and compatibility with mobile phones, computers, and tablets, Kouchouk said.
It also features improved performance and data security, while providing easier access to financial information through interactive formats and search tools, helping raise public awareness of economic and financial issues.
The ministry has electronically linked the website to its affiliated departments, authorities, and agencies to improve the integration of information and services and make them more accessible.
The platform also includes a dedicated channel for citizens and investors to submit suggestions, complaints, and inquiries, with the ministry providing responses through the service.
Kouchouk said the ministry was also developing a mobile application to broaden access to its digital services and information.
Additional services are expected to be introduced through the website in the coming period, while work is continuing to meet accessibility requirements for people with disabilities, he added.
The minister said the website marked an important step towards a more open and interactive institutional communications system, with citizens and investors treated as partners in improving public services.
He added that the ministry would use feedback gathered during the trial phase to improve the website’s usability and the quality of its services.
