Egypt’s FRA sets up committee to coordinate capital markets tax policy
Egypt’s Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) has established a joint coordination committee with the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) and the Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA) to strengthen cooperation on the tax treatment of capital market activities, support market stability, and encourage investment.
The decision follows a recent meeting between FRA Chairman Islam Azam, Egyptian Tax Authority Chairwoman Rasha Abdel Aal, EGX Chairman Omar Redawan, and senior officials from the three institutions to discuss closer coordination on tax policies, training, and measures aimed at strengthening confidence between the tax administration and capital markets.
