Egypt’s Shares Gain EGP 3.1 bln At Closing , EGX 30 Jumps 5647 pts

 Egypt’s stocks maintained their upward trend posting gains totaled EGP 3.1billion on Monday. The benchmark index closed at EGP 376.984 billion.

The Egyptian Exchange indices were wavering in green notes during the closing session of Monday.

Egypt’s benchmark index EGX30 inched up by 1.09% to close at 5647pts; while the EGX20 rose by 1.05 % to end at 6604p. 

Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 increased by 0.68 % to conclude at 483p. The price index EGX100 advanced by 0.73 % to finish at 809p.

Traded Volumes & Trades

Through the closing session of Monday, the trading volume has reached 189 million., it hit EGP 684 million, exchanged through 33thousand transactions.   

Also during the closing session, 181 listed securities have been traded in; 40 declined, 118 advanced; while 21 keeping their previous levels.

Investors’ Activity
Egyptians and Arabs backed EGX’s gains as they remained net buyers seizing 80.99%, of the total market, with net equities of EGP 27 million, excluding the deals.

Meanwhile, the non-Arab foreigners were net sellers seizing 5.21%, 13.8% respectively ,with EGP 2.1 million and EGP 25 million excluding the deals.
