Egypt’s Social Solidarity Ministry, Banque Misr partner to support university students
Egypt’s Ministry of Social Solidarity has signed a cooperation protocol with Banque Misr to support university students as part of the first phase of “A Step From Social Solidarity to Empowerment” initiative.
The initiative aims to enhance financial inclusion and economic empowerment by facilitating access to financial services and promoting entrepreneurship among students.
The agreement focuses on increasing financial literacy, improving access to banking services, and overcoming obstacles to financial inclusion through specialised training programmes. It also aims to equip students with the necessary tools to manage their savings and investments effectively, aligning with Egypt’s Vision 2030 for economic and social development.
As part of the collaboration, efforts will be made to ensure the availability of financial products and services at competitive rates, along with favourable terms to encourage participation. The protocol further seeks to promote entrepreneurship by expanding access to both financial and non-financial services, reinforcing the role of students in economic development.
