Egypt’s stocks start week higher, benchmark EGX 30 climbs 2.31%
Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) ended higher on Sunday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index climbing by 2.31 percent to 10,973 points.
EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) hiked by 1.60 percent to 1,924 points.
The all-embracing index, EGX 100 edged up by 1.61 percent to 2,894 points.
Market Cap
The country’s market capitalisation has posted gains worth 12.6 billion Egyptian pounds ($693.4 million), ending the trading at 708.332 billion pounds supported by foreign investors’ buying appetite.

Trading value has approximately reached around 852.6 million pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded around 438.5 million securities executed around 40.200 transactions.
