Germans in Egypt urged to be cautious following churches attacks: foreign ministry

The German Foreign Ministry urged on Monday German citizens in Egypt to exercise caution following the two explosions in churches rattled Tanta and Alexandria on Sunday in which scores of innocent people were killed and wounded.

The state of security alert in Egypt is high, which could cause foreign nationals and facilities to be subjected to terrorist attacks and increase the risk of foreigners being abducted, the German Foreign Ministry added.

The warnings came one day after two churches in Tanta and Alexandria were attacked separately, killing dozens and wounding more than 100.
