HSBC Names Emmanuel Blanchet New CEO in Egypt

Jacques-Emmanuel Blanchet has been appointed CEO of HSBC Bank Egypt SAE, the bank announced today. Jacques-Emmanuel will succeed Andrew Long as the new Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Bank Egypt.

Mr. Jacques-Emmanuel Blanchet served as Head of Commercial Banking at HSBC France and served as its Chief Executive Officer of UBP and Banque Hervet.

Jacques-Emmanuel’s appointment follows a three-year tenure as Head of Commercial Banking at HSBC France, where he grew the businesses significantly – bringing in additional expertise and a more proactive approach to customer relationships.

A graduate of ICSG Business School in Paris, Jacques-Emmanuel brings over 30 years banking experience to his new role. Since joining HSBC France in 1998 Jacques-Emmanuel has held a number of senior roles including Head of Global Transactional Banking, CEO of HSBC Hervet and UBP and Head of Operations HSBC France.
