Israel hits Turkish Palestinian Hospital for cancer patient in Gaza

The Israeli occupation warplanes targeted and destroyed the Turkish Palestinian Friendship Hospital in Gaza on Monday, which was functioning as the only cancer hospital in the region.

The Palestinian Health Ministry’s spokesman said that medical staff and patients cannot leave the Turkish Hospital after it was bombed, adding “we have reached a stage where it is impossible to fully provide health service in Gaza.”

“There can be no justification for such an attack carried out despite (the fact that) all necessary information, including the coordinates of the institution, was previously shared with the Israeli authorities,” the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Medical officials said air strikes in the vicinity of the major Gaza City hospitals including al-Shifa, al-Quds and the Turkish Friendship hospital, have caused damage.

Since the weekend the Israeli army has widened its air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip, which has been under relentless airstrikes since the war broke out between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas on Oct. 7.
