ITIDA to complete 22 tech buildings in Egypt at 2016-end

ITIDA, the IT arm of the Egyptian Ministry of Communications, is planning to complete the development of 22 technological buildings in Borg El-Arab and Asyut cities before the end of 2016, its CEO said Tuesday.

Speaking at the second annual financial leasing conference, ITIDA chief executive Asmaa Hosny added that her agency is going to develop 11 technology parks in Borg El-Arab in Alexandria and another 11 in Asyut, in cooperation with the New Urban Communities Authority, an affiliate to the Ministry of Housing.

She further said that ITIDA has launched three initiatives in a bid to contribute to the development of technology and electronics industries in Egypt.

ITIDA will enter into a partnership with the National Bank of Egypt that aims to support the agency’s activities during the upcoming phase.
