McDonald’s to change recipes for its most iconic burgers

McDonald’s is working on a series of upgrades to its most iconic burger according to the fast food chain’s announcement this week. The changes will include “small but tasty improvements” to the Big Mac, McDouble, hamburger, and cheeseburger.

McDonald’s promises that buns will be “softer” and “pillowy” than its existing offerings. The company also said that the burger assembly will “get hotter, meltier cheese.”

Instead of adding diced white onion to the sandwiches after the burger is removed from the grill, onions will be added with patties while they’re still cooking.

Big Mac will get more sauce, which will be a proprietary combination of mayo, mustard, vinegar, seasoning, and relish.

The new burger are already being sold in the U.S. in the West Coast, as well as in Australia, Canada, and Belgium.

The new upgraded sandwiches will be available across the world in 2024, McDonald’s said.
