Musk: Starlink to provide Gaza connectivity for aid groups

Starlink internet satellites will support communication links in Gaza with “internationally recognised aid organizations,” according to Elon Musk’s announcement made on social media platform X on Saturday.

International humanitarian organisations claimed that the power outage was worsening an already drastic circumstance by impeding lifesaving operations and preventing them from reaching their staff on the ground.

Communications and internet services in the Gaza Strip were completely cut off amid heavy Israeli bombing of feeder lines, towers, and networks, according to the Palestine Telecommunications Company.

The telephone and internet blackout isolated people in the Gaza Strip from the world and from each other on Saturday, with calls ambulances elsewhere all but impossible.

Starlink is the largest satellite network in the world, employing low Earth orbit technology to provide high-speed internet services that support streaming, online gaming, video calls, and more.
