National Bank of Egypt nine-month net profit hits EGP 48.26 billion

The National Bank of Egypt (NBE) is the country's largest bank in terms of assets, deposits, loans, bank-capital, number of total branches, and employees.

The National Bank of Egypt (NBE), the country’s largest public lender, reported on Monday a net profit 22.778 billion Egyptian pounds ($761 million) in first nine months of 2022.

Net profit for July 2020 to September 2021 period stood at 19.080 billion pounds ($637 million).

The bank’s financial statements revealed that pre-tax profit hit 48.588 billion pounds by the end of September 2022, compared to 48.263 billion pounds at the same period in 2021.

Deposits stood at 178.320 billion pounds by the end of September 2022, compared to 207.556 billion pounds by the end of September 2021.
