NBE Renews Contracts For 154 Employees At Data Updating Unit

The chairman of the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) Tarek Amer agreed to renew employment contracts of 154 employees at the data updating unit. The employment contracts of these employees expired last March after two years of working at the bank.

Sources said the contracts will be renewed after the employees passed a number of tests in the last period with grades not less than “very good”.

Sherif Elwy, deputy chairman of NBE, intervened to solve the problem of the employees and informed them today that all contracts will be renewed except for 10 employees who had college grades of “pass”.

It is worth mentioning that the employees at data updating unit had held a protest and a sit-in and submitted many petitions to the Cabinet from eight months because they were fired after their two-year contracts expired.
