Palestinians in Gaza live in ‘utter, deepening horror’ – UN

Palestinians in Gaza are living in “utter, deepening horror,” UN human rights chief Volker Türk said on Wednesday.

Türk made his statement as he called for an urgent ceasefire in the besieged strip.

“Civilians in Gaza continue to be relentlessly bombarded by Israel and collectively punished,” he said in a press conference.

The death toll in Gaza reached around 16,200 innocent civilians, more than 7,000 of which are children.
