Raya to expand investments in Egypt’s Borg El-Arab, New Asyut tech parks

Egypt’s information telecommunications firm, Raya has signed a partnership with Ministry of Communications to establish more buildings in two technology parks, a government source said Sunday.

Raya is one of multiple firms that announced plans to invest in the first phase in Egypt’s technology park projects in Borg El-Arab and New Asyut, scheduled for completion by the end of 2016, the source told Amwal Al Ghad.

Earlier, ITIDA, the IT arm of the Egyptian Ministry of Communications announced that around six and seven Chinese firms have shown willingness to enter Egypt’s electronics manufacturing market by investing in Borg El-Arab and New Asyut technology parks.
