Sisi pledges support for investors at Egypt Mining Forum

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said on Monday that the state was committed to ensuring the success of mining investments in Egypt, addressing investors at the opening of the Egypt Mining Forum in Cairo.

“We are committed as a state to working to ensure the success of your investments in Egypt,” Sisi told participants at the opening of the fifth edition of the forum.

He said the commitment extended to investors and businesspeople seeking to operate or invest in mining and other sectors in Egypt.

Sisi said Egypt had an investment and legislative environment, infrastructure and operating economics that could support new opportunities in the mining sector.

“I will not repeat what has been said about the investment and legislative environment, infrastructure, and the opportunities that can be created, or even the appropriate operating economics in Egypt,” he said. However, the president asserted that the state’s commitment to supporting investors was the key message he wanted to convey to forum participants.
