Telecom Egypt boosts tech education with 19 schools

Telecom Egypt has established 19 WE Applied Technology Schools in 19 governorates to provide students with specialised skills in telecommunications, software development, networking, and cybersecurity, as per a Cabinet statement on Tuesday.

The initiative, launched in 2020/2021, operates under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), with plans to expand to 27 schools next year, ensuring at least one in each governorate. 

This initiative aims to develop a new generation of highly skilled technical personnel in the telecommunications industry through a curriculum approved by the ministry, according to the statement.
