Turkey top importer of Egypt’s chemical industries in 11 months

Turkey has been the biggest importer of Egypt’s chemical industries during the past eleven months of 2015, a recent report by the Egyptian Chemicals and Fertilizers Export Council showed.
Turkey has captured 30 percent of the Egyptian chemical industries exports, registering 11-month imports worth 3.3 billion Egyptian pounds (US$421.4 million).
According to the Egyptian Chemicals and Fertilizers Export Council’s latest report, ten countries have seized 54.7 percent of the Egyptian exports, accounting for 11 billion pounds during the period from January to November 2015.

Saudi Arabia ranked second in the list of the top importers of the Egyptian chemical industries, accounting for 1.3 billion pounds, followed by France with imports worth 1.1 billion pounds, and then Belgium with imports of 851.5 million pounds.

Meanwhile, Italy was in the fifth position, with imports amounting to 848.5 million pounds, followed by the Sudan of 813.1 million pounds, and Spain of 750.3 million pounds.
Moreover, Kenya took eighth place, with imports recorded at 737.7 million pounds, followed by Iraq of 632 million pounds, and then Morocco of 627 million pounds.
