Türkiye: first grain cargo could leave Ukraine Today

Turkish Presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin said on Sunday that there is a high possibility of grain-exporting ship leaving Ukraine’s ports on Monday.

If all details of the shipment have finished by tomorrow…the ships may leave the ports the next day at the latest, Kalin added.

He continued “the Joint Coordination Centre in Istanbul will probably complete the final work on export routes very soon.”

Russia and Ukraine are major global wheat suppliers, they signed an agreement last week to ease food crisis and reduce global grains prices since Russian invasion since 24 February.

U.N, brokered this agreement which aims to allow safe passage for grain shipments in and out of Chornomorsk, Odesa and the port of Pivdennyi.

Moscow bears Ukraine the full responsibility for the halt in shipments due to port water mines.
