URGENT: Egypt’s remittances rise 44% y/y in April – CBE

Remittances from Egyptians working abroad rose 44.0 per cent year-on-year to $4.3 billion in April from $3.0 billion a year earlier, the central bank said on Monday.

In the first 10 months of fiscal year 2025/26 (July-April), remittances increased 33.2 per cent year-on-year to a record $39.2 billion, compared with $29.4 billion in the corresponding period a year earlier.
