WatcHelp: new application for independent autistic patients

WatcHelp, an application works online, helps people with autism to be totally independent doing their daily routine.

The application is designed to assist autistic patients and people with cognitive and perceptive impairments by sending reminders of waking up and shower time through a number of texts and images that are previously uploaded in the app.

WatcHelp is intended to favor the autonomy of people affected with mental disabilities (Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, autism spectrum disorder, down syndrome, Huntington’s disease, traumatic brain injury etc.) and to relieve the daily life of the caregivers. This application has the peculiarity to work with a connected watch on which the helped will receive alerts and reminders concerning the various tasks he/she must perform, or informing him/her about his/her next appointments. A feature allows the caregivers to remotely check that everything goes as planned, by asking questions which the helped must answer by “yes” or by “no”.
