Egypt’s Obour Land receives loan of EGP200mln for its new expansion plans
Egyptian dairy producer Obour Land has signed a deal with Catalyst Leasing worth 200 million Egyptian pounds to increase the production lines and carry out its expansion plan, according to Ashraf Hamed, its managing director.
The deal is signed for new advanced technology machines that are compatible to environmental and industrial requirements as well as energy-saving, from Tetra Pak international company.
He made these comments on the side lines a press event by Obourland the leading white cheese manufacturer in Egypt, and Tetra Pak, the world’s leading food manufacturing and packaging company, celebrating 12 years of partnership.
Obourland market share reached 42% market share, a total of 103 million kilos sold during 2018, he added.
He noted that the company currently owns 15 white cheese production lines, stressing that Obour Land is cooperating with Tetra Pak to replace 11-12 production lines with 4 new line saving 60-70 percent of the energy consumption.
He added that the company has invested around 600 million pounds in the Egyptian market in the past 4 years.”
